Channel 4 News has appointed Andy Davies as its new Home Affairs Correspondent.
Davies, who is currently with the BBC's Panorama programme, will join the team in October.
Channel 4 News Editor Jim Gray said: "Andy is a terrific correspondent and a great catch for Channel 4 News. Our home affairs team is a real powerhouse of original journalism, which has become a hallmark of the programme.
Andy's record of revelatory journalism, coupled with his authority and on-screen flair will help us develop that further."
Davies has been with Panorama since 2001, where much of his work has been in-depth investigations. He reported on the Jockey Club and horse-race-fixing in an award-winning programme – The Corruption of Racing – winning the RTS award for Home Current Affairs that year, and leading to the resignation of the Jockey Club's security director and influencing major regulatory reform within the sport.
Speaking on his appointment Davies said: " You only have to look at the most recent RTS awards to see that Channel 4 News is, quite simply, at the top of its game."
