Oscars exclusive for Sunday Times

By Press Gazette

The Sunday Times is publishing two special supplements to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Academy Awards on 9 and 16 February.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has given the newspaper exclusive access to its archives.

The two 60-page magazines feature profiles of every single Best Picture Academy Award winner from Wings in 1929 to A Beautiful Mind in 2002, as well as features on the history of the awards and trivia on past winners.

The comprehensive guide is edited by George Perry, and includes contributions from film writers Leonard Maltin, Derek Malcolm, Kevin Brownlow, Kim Newman, Geoff Andrew, Angie Errigo, Ed Buscombe, John Marriott and Marianne Gray.

The Oscar nominations are announced on 11 February, ahead of the ceremony on 23 March.
