Online retail therapy for Marie Claire with new shopping page

IPC Media’s women’s monthly, Marie Claire, has teamed up with fashion e-retailer to launch a new shopping section on its website.

The new section has buyers from fashion and shopping website providing comment and advice on current trends.

Users can also click through to where they can purchase some of the clothes featured on the site, including favourite items of editor Carla Bevan, whose recommendations will also appear on was set up by Sarah Curran in April 2006, and as well as selling current fashion, it also offers fashion video content and a blog by staff.

IPC stablemate, fashion weekly Look, also has a shopping functionality on its website. Users on can add items to a ‘shopping list’and click through to the retailers website to purchase.

It’s not just magazines that are trying to attract the consumer, is to launch an online shopping portal in a deal with e-tailer Affiliate Window, which also runs Sun Online’s store.
