The Newspaper Society has won an award for its weekly electronic newsletter NS News.
The body for the regional newspaper industry picked up the Electronic Communications accolade at the Trade Association Forum Awards on Thursday night. Its website was also shortlisted for a prize.
NS News was described by the judges as "a weekly newswire that is clear and comprehensive, with feature stories, profiles and background articles as well as news items and diary dates, linking through to current events on the main website … The presentation is simple, elegant and attractive and, with some advertising, it also produces revenue for the association."
