Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger has written a strongly-worded letter to the UK based Chinese ambassador attacking Chinese censorship, after stories on websites including Guardian.co.uk that covered the unrest in Tibet were blocked by Chinese authorities.
In his letter to Fu Ying, Rusbridger said: “As you will be aware, the blackout has coincided with media coverage of the recent unrest in Tibet, forcing the conclusion that this is an act of deliberate and wholly unacceptable censorship.”
