New Statesman stages debate for Labour leadership contenders

Press Gazette sister title the New Statesman is hosting the first leadership debate between the contenders for the Labour Party leadership next Wednesday, 9 June, from 7pm at Assembly Hall in Westminster.

Ed Miliband, David Miliband and Ed Balls have confirmed their attendance – with other candidates set to take part if they can attract enough MP backers to get on the ballot paper.  More details here.
