Bill Sweetman, one of the world’s leading defence and aviation
journalists, has been appointed technology and aerospace editor at
Jane’s defence portfolio, which includes titles such as Jane’s
International Defence Review.
Sweeting has been a defence and
aviation journalist for 30 years, has written more than 50 books and
was a consultant for the Emmy-winning documentary Battle of the
X-Planes.
He has been awarded four Royal Aeronautical Society
awards for Aerospace Journalist of the Year and won two Aviation/Space
Writers Association Awards of Excellence.
As well as writing for
Jane’s, in recent years he has been a contributor to The Washington
Post, Smithsonian Air & Space and Air Transport World and a member
of the Aviation Week Show News team. He has also been a contributing
editor at Popular Science.
