Telegraph Media Group has appointed Nancy Cruickshank as executive director of digital development.
Cruickshank is moving from video site VideoJug.com, where she has been the global chief executive since last January.
She will be responsible for overseeing TMG’s online offering and increasing its digital revenues, reporting to editor-in-chief William Lewis.
Cruickshank’s experience in website advertising and marketing includes six years as managing director of handbag.com, which used to be owned by Telegraph owners the Barclay Brothers.
She stayed on after the company was acquired by Hearst in October 2006, as managing director of its UK websites, including cosmopolitan.co.uk and goodhousekeeping.co.uk.
Cruickshank said: “TMG has undertaken a brave and innovative restructure of its entire operation over the past three years which now provides a unique platform on which to further develop a world-class digital media company.
“I am hugely looking forward to working with the team at Britain’s number one newspaper website and to extending the group’s digital products and services.”
