‘Most famous journalistin Britain’ to write for GQ

By Press Gazette

By Alyson Fixter

GQ has recruited former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan to provide
an interview with a major public figure every month, beginning in
August.

The interview subjects will include sportsmen, celebrities,
politicians and football managers, according to publisher Condé Nast.

Morgan said: “Ever since GQ declared me the seventh most powerful man in Britain it has been my favourite magazine.

“I view this announcement as a longoverdue fusion of ice-cool journalistic icons.

“Others may view it as something altogether less wholesome. Either way, it should be a lot of fun.”

Editor
Dylan Jones said: “Piers is probably the most famous journalist in
Britain right now. In fact if you ask Piers, he’ll tell you he’s
definitely the most famous journalist in Britain.

“Either way, it makes complete sense for Piers to join GQ. I’m sure Piers’s pieces for GQ will be a must-read for everyone.”
