Men’s Fitness has boosted its fashion coverage and appointed its first full-time fashion editor, writes Ruth Addicott.
Tara Kavanagh-Dowsett was a fashion journalist on The Daily Telegraph before going freelance and contributing to FHM Bionic, Later and Health and Fitness.
Men’s Fitness is hoping the post will improve its “grooming” content. Editor Pete Muir said: “We’ll be giving more space and effort to the fashion pages. Since I took over the fashion hasn’t been particularly well produced and finally we have got round to addressing the problem.”

The Style section has been expanded and the September issue will carry 16 pages of fashion with a minimum of nine thereafter.
