Former Time Out editor Mark Frith is joining Bauer Media as editorial director of its lifestyle portfolio, which includes FHM and Zoo, in the New Year.
Frith, who was editor at Time Out for two and a half years before standing down in July, will provide ‘strategic vision and support for the editors and publishers across the whole business”.
The former PPA editor of the year, who has also edited Smash Hits and Heat, said: ‘I’m delighted to be joining Bauer Media in this newly created role.
‘The company is home to some legendary brands and exceptional editorial teams and I can’t wait to get started.”
Bauer has also announced the promotion of Abby Carvosso, the head of magazines and sales, to the newly -created role of managing director for lifestyle and advertising with immediate effect.
Chief executive Paul Keenan said: ‘These appointments are indicative of Bauer Media’s continued commitment and investment in the delivery of world class editorial products and commercial operations.
‘Mark and Abby are both very strong, very talented leaders and will play an important part in the further development of our vision for the future.”
