Digital magazine publisher Made Up Media has signed its first two contract publishing deals and has confirmed it is pitching ideas to a number of potential clients.
The company, run by four former Golf Punk staff writers, has this week finished building the first issue of Nutmeg, a monthly digital football pools magazine for Littlewoods.
The 32-page title, which uses page-turn technology to recreate the feel of a printed magazine, will be sent electronically to Littlewoods’ betting customers.
Made Up Media co-founder Lestyn George said the magazine aimed to provide a ‘left-field, light-hearted’look at the world of football.
The one-year-old company has also signed a deal with razor manufacturer King of Shaves to produce a digital contract magazine called The Knowledge.
Since it was set up in early 2007, Made Up Media has launched four online-only consumer sport magazines in quick succession.
In Golf We Trust, its first launch in March last year, was followed by rugby title Scrum of the Earth and alternative football magazine Catflap.
The newest consumer title, EatCricket, made its debut last month.
