A local news website for Leeds is expanding into print by piloting a new tabloid newspaper.
Available at community venues from next week, the South Leeds Life newspaper will be unveiled at Beeston Festival on Saturday.
If successful, it is hoped the newspaper will be produced on a monthly basis from the autumn.
South Leeds Life, set up in November 2010, previously had a quarterly magazine, published in partnership with local charity Health For All, but this was axed in 2012 due to lack of funding.
The new tabloid has been launched for the benefit of locals who do not have access to the internet.
The paper will kick off a campaign to encourage more people in the area to volunteer in the community and will also contain a report from South Leeds Foodbank.
South Leeds Life is looking for someone to sell advertising for the paper as well as advertisers.
