The publisher of parenting magazine Junior is looking for an editor and journalists to work on a new upmarket consumer title which is scheduled to launch on news-stands in the autumn.
Editor-in-chief and publisher Chris Taggart said: "We have been playing around with the idea for the past year but we wanted to wait to make sure Junior was in good shape." Taggart is looking for an editor, freelance designer, editorial assistant and office junior to work on the launch.
It is expected to have the same production values and be of a similar size to Junior which launched with 132 pages and sold around 50,000.
"Junior has been doing incredibly well – our subscriptions have nearly doubled in a year and advertising is up 25 per cent year-on-year," he said.
Junior is published by Beach Magazines & Publishing which Taggart launched in 1998.
