Eight
journalists traveling in a Kent Police van were involved in a collision
with a BMW today in Gillingham. The journalists were being transported
by police in the unmarked van to cover a series of planned drug raids.
All
but one of the journalists taken to hospital have now been discharged
with minor injuries including sustained shock, cuts and bruising.
A Kent Police press officer who is still in hospital suffered a fractured collar bone. The police driver was shaken but unhurt.
The accident is currently being investigated.
