Journalism award launched to honour Cooke

The US-UK Fulbright Commission has launched a new award in journalism in memory of the late Alistair Cooke.
The award, expected to begin this year, will
offer journalists in the UK and the US the opportunity to study and/or
teach for one year in the other country.
David.T.Johnson, Chargé d’Affaires of the US
Embassy in London, said: “The bilateral Fulbright program will provide
a most fitting home for this award, to honour a man whose own life and
accomplishments were truly Transatlantic.”
