As a new role, the successful person will develop new and existing relationships with the media and other organisations and collaborate with the charity’s stakeholders and strategic partners.

You need to be able to think strategically as well as being adept at dealing with the detail – so strong management, analytical and administration skills are all important.
You should have a passion for journalism and a positive commitment to helping sustain its future. Your track record in large scale projects should speak for itself.
You will need to innovate, instigate and manage change, people and large-scale projects, think strategically, multi-task, plan, prioritise, audit, evaluate, bid, budget and work to strict deadlines.
While this job does require UK travel, we have a dedicated team of staff based in a converted granary in the lovely North Essex village of Newport, only 30 seconds walk from the Newport train station, and just one hour by train to London Liverpool Street.
We’re very friendly and we’re all very passionate about what we do – this comes across in the way we work and our organisational values.
We pride ourselves on recruiting high performing people who are flexible in their approach and adaptable to change. This extends to how we see our work-life balance and we support staff who have family responsibilities or might have particular needs. Flexible working arrangements are also considered.
This high-profile new role is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive contribution to the future sustainability of quality journalism in the UK. If you feel you have the skills, experience and passion we are looking for, we look forward to hearing from you.
