TSSA is a trade union that represents people working in transport and travel.

TSSA places its members at the heart of our union and aims to campaign on matters that are important to them.

To achieve this, we need a highly skilled communications team led by a communications professional who will ensure TSSA has a strategy that will influence our internal and external audiences.

Do you have the skills, drive and creative energy we need to lead on and deliver powerful political and press campaigns?

This role will sit on our senior leadership team, working closely with the General Secretary and operational leads to ensure that we have a clear communications and media strategy implemented across our union.

You will lead a team to ensure that our communications and media narrative is sought after by journalists, editors and politicians. This role not only oversees all our internal and external communications via the press, digital media, TV and radio, but also our internal communications to members via print and digital streams.

You will also ensure that TSSA policy is delivered via a political strategy that engages senior politicians and industry stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced communications and campaigns specialist who understands the political environment in relation to trade unions and the transport and travel industries.

You will be driven to generate fresh ideas and deliver them via your strong communication, influencing and relationship skills. Most importantly you will ensure that our reputation and brand is maintained and enhanced so our union grows in size and influence.
