Regional media group Archant raised more than £36,000 for charity last year.
In June, the Archant Gold scheme awarded £16,000 to employee’s chosen charities to accompany more than £20,000 raised by staff in a variety of activities.
Barking and Dagenham Post editor Barry Kirk raised £110 for Leukaemia Research in a 25-mile bikeathon in July. He then teamed up with reporters Mark Taylor, Richard Meade, Fiona Audley and Aline Nassif (picured right) to take part in a fun run, raising £218 for Barking’s Shopmobility.
Elsewhere, Archant Suffolk reporter James Mortlock raised £569 for St Nicholas Hospice with a sponsored skydive, while runners raised almost £2,300 in Cancer Research’s Race For Life.
Some 16 staffers abseiled 81ft down the company’s main Prospect House building in Norwich, raising more than £1,000 for the Nelson’s Journey charity.
