How to pitch to: Law and More

Type of articles: We are looking for everything from entertainment to travel to health and beauty. The concept behind Law and More is to offer a one-stop shop for legal professionals. You could be looking for a new job while browsing for weekend break ideas. Editorial is aimed at everyone working within the legal profession – from lawyers to trainees and legal secretaries. Of course, we welcome features, legal articles and interviews.

How to pitch: Email is best. A short introduction to yourself and one or two paragraphs outlining your idea. Proposed rates and time-frames would be great too. We are very new, but plan to rapidly expand, so we will welcome pitches as soon as things have calmed down.

What will impress: Clear, concise ideas. An explanation why the article would appeal to those working within the legal profession and how you plan to do research.

What won’t impress: Pestering on the phone is always annoying. All emails will be read and we always respond to emails, whether we plan to go ahead with the idea or not. If you haven’t heard back, a gentle push in the form of an email is OK. Ideas should be relevant to the demographic and readership, obviously.

Rate: We haven’t quite drawn this up yet, as we are new. We’ll be sorting these very soon.

Images: Not essential, but it depends on the piece.
