Here’s Health editor switches to sister title

By Press Gazette

Here’s Health editor Colette Harrisis leaving to edit sister Emap title Yours Health Plus!

Harris will oversee further growth of the magazine, which is a spin-off from the over-60s title Yours.

Yours Health Plus! has just increased its frequency from quarterly to bimonthly following successful sales and a latest ABC of 93,000. Targeting women aged 45 to 60, it aims to address the health issues ignored by many of the existing women’s titles.

Harris said: “I think there is a real need for it. Women of that age have unique health and beauty concerns which aren’t addressed by many magazines. We get so many letters from people saying, ‘I was bored with my other magazine because I’d seen it all before and it’s talking to a 30-year-old or younger’.”

Emap has enjoyed continued success with Yours, which is its biggest selling title after FHM and Heat.

Harris took over as editor of Here’s Health in 2001, having previously been features writer and associate editor. Before Here’s Health, she produced New Weddings, a one-shot for New Woman.
