The Herald, Glasgow, has recruited two sports writers to its new-look sports desk and appointed a sports news editor.
Football reporter Mark Wilson joins from Glasgow sports agency 7-Day Press, where he worked for nine years.
Martin Grieg joins as a general sports writer from The Sunday Times Scotland, where he latterly had a sports feature writer/reporter role.
Keith Sinclair, who has been on The Herald news reporting staff for 15 years, is promoted to the role of sports news editor – reporting to sports editor Donald Cowey.
The Herald embarked on a recruitment drive following the departure of sports news editor Jim Reynolds and reporter Ian Paul, who have both retired, and chief football writer Ewing Grahame, who went freelance.
