Caroline Little, the chief executive of Guardian News & Media’s US wing, is to step down after less than two years in the post.
Little, who will leave before the end of the year, will remain as head of ContentNext, publisher of PaidContent, which was bought by GNM for £4m in July, 2008.
A GNM spokeswoman said: “Caroline Little will be leaving her position as chief executive of Guardian News & Media, North America in the autumn.
“Caroline remains CEO of ContentNext Media and we look forward to continuing the fantastic work that Caroline has done for us.”
Little joined GNM as the head of its US operation in January 2009, after having previously worked as the company’s US web strategy advisor for a number of months.
Prior to working with GMN, Little ran Washington Post’s digital division and joined the British media company to oversee the commercialisation of its US-facing web pages and run ContentNext.
