Phil Callow has been appointed publishing director for CMPi’s
medical and pharmacy titles Pulse , The Practitioner , Chemist &
Druggist and Community Pharmacy .
Prior to joining CMPi, Callow
spent two years as publishing director for Emap’s automotive business
to business activities. Its portfolio includes Fleet News, AM and
Sewells as well as events, websites, research and contract publishing.
Callow
also spent five years working for BBC Worldwide, beginning his career
in trade marketing and distribution, before progressing to become
circulation manager on the Radio Times .
In 2000 he moved across
into publishing as cross-format publisher for the BBC’s natural history
portfolio, and became group publisher for the company’s specialist
interest magazines, overseeing titles such as BBC Music and BBC History
in 2003.
