B2B publisher CMP Information has acquired events organiser Decorex for £2.2m. The company, which specialises in interior design trade shows, will allow CMPi’s interiors title Cabinet Maker to stage more events.
The Decorex show, which is now in its 30th year, is held annually in London in September, and is aimed at the high-end interior design market.
CMPi’s Cabinet Maker – which has a circulation of 3,093, according to ABC – already runs a similar interior design show each year at the NEC in Birmingham.
Announcing the acquisition this morning, CMPi parent company United Business Media said Decorex revenues for 2007 were forecast to be in the region of £1.7m.
