The Winged Fellowship Trust (WFT), a leading charity for the disabled, has appointed Valerie Graham as communications coordinator.
Her role will be to promote short breaks and holidays for disabled people and carers from black and ethnic minorities in England and Wales and to raise awareness of the charity.
She said: “I am excited to be joining WFT when black and minority issues are high on the public agenda.”

WFT was established in 1963 and has five centres offering short breaks with 24-hour care.
