The BBC today published more than 50 documents in a response to an NUJ freedom of information request over proposed job cuts.
The union requested details of correspondence,
analysis and minutes of meetings related to director general Mark
Thompson’s plan to cut 4,000 jobs.
Union officials were today wading through the paperwork but had already
found that large sections and whole documents have been witheld with
the BBC claiming exemptions under different clauses of the FOI act.
