BBC Geldof scoop

By Press Gazette

BBC Radio Swindon and BBC Radio Wiltshire scored an exclusive with a candid interview with Bob Geldof in which he spoke openly about the death of Paula Yates.

The interview, broadcast on Christmas Day, was part of a series for the stations conducted by Midge Ure, the Eighties pop star who co-wrote the Band Aid song, Do They Know It’s Christmas, with Geldof.

Ure is from Swindon and agreed to do the series of interviews for his local BBC stations.
