At least it wasn't on a CD

‘Tis, it seems, the season for accidental dissemination of confidential documents.

Guardian News & Media has revealed the names and email addresses of 170 contributors and tipsters who are in the payment of the company. The gaffe was a result of the accounts department forgetting to hide the Bcc: address box on an email asking people for their bank details.

As The Guardian continues to lay into Darling on the confidential child benefit files, isn’t it slightly ironic that it is doing something similar?”
