Street lovers with time on hands needed

By Press Gazette

From: John Dale Subject:
Fleet Street Day Since I mentioned it in Press Gazette, there has been
a lot of interest shown in the idea of holding a Fleet Street Day,
where older hacks meet other older hacks, renew friendships and
introduce younger ones to the roots and traditions of our work, when
the world was different.

We need a committee, as suggested by
Canon David Meara, rector of St Bride’s, and I wish to appeal through
your columns for readers who loved Fleet Street as I loved it, but have
more time on their hands, especially if retired or working part-time.

It
will be a fascinating project, one which will stir old memories as well
as point a way to the future. If successful, it could become an annual
event.

If you are interested in discussing it, please email me.
