Scottish Radio Holdings is poised to add to its already significant stake in Irish media outlets.
The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland has approved in principle a €30m (£21m) takeover by SRH of the major Dublin radio station FM104.
The deal is expected to go through within a month. SRH is already the owner of the independent national station, Today FM. Its new acquisition will give it a sizeable presence in the highly competitive Dublin market, to which four new stations are expected to be added in the near future.
