Quintessentially club to launch Luxury title

By Press Gazette

A new luxury lifestyle magazine is to enter the UK from the founders of private members’ club Quintessentially.

The Quintessentially Magazine has already been launched in New York, Dubai and Beijing and is due to reach UK news-stands in February.

New magazine company Luxury Publishing, founded by James Reatchlous, has been set up to produce the magazine, which is hoping for sales of 35,000.

Editor Catherine Peel said the title would appeal to successful, wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs working in the media and the City.

“Hopefully, they will feel like they are rubbing shoulders with members of Quintessentially. We want it to reflect their lifestyle so there will be travel, fashion, style, food, drink and motoring. We want to cover all aspects,” she said. “There are thousands of luxury magazines out there, but we want to redefine what luxury living is all about.”

Prior to The Quintessentially Magazine, Peel was managing editor of American Express Centurion Magazine.

She has also contributed to Condé Nast Traveler.

Lucia van der Post, who launched How To Spend It magazine for the FT, is editor-in-chief, Stefano Arata (ex-Redwood and Daily and Sunday Telegraph) is creative director and Henrie Creighton, former contributor to ES Magazine and The Spectator, is editorial consultant.

Tom Parker Bowles is among the regular contributors.

The publisher is planning to roll out further editions in Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, South Africa and Hong Kong after the UK launch.
