The Los Angeles Times has said its number one concern for British journalist Ruth Morris and her US photographer Scott Dalton is their safety, writes Robert Izzard.
They were on assigment in Columbia when they were abducted last week and are being held by the country’s National Liberation Army.
David Garcia of the LA Times said: “We will do all we can to secure their release. They are professional journalists trained to convey information fairly and objectively.”
A spokeswoman for the International Red Cross said an attempt to contact the rebels had ended in failure.
