The Daily Mirror has hired showbiz journalist Kiki King as its new 3am girl.
King leaves her post as The Mail on Sunday’s showbusiness reporter.
Previously, she worked on the Diary for The Daily Telegraph.
King
is no stranger to the Daily Mirror, having previously freelanced for
3am after leaving university. She said: “I can’t wait to get started. I
began my journalism career doing shifts on 3am and it’s an honour to be
asked to return as part of the team.”
Mirror editor Richard Wallace said: “Kiki has some class acts to follow, but we’re sure she’ll be more than up to it.”
King will join the paper in September following the departure of Jessica Callan.
