Johnston Press is to release six-monthly ABCe certificates for 10 of its regional newspaper websites for the first time.
Although many regional newspaper publishers have previously reported their website figures only on an ad hoc basis, these figures will be part of a new certificate which requires continuous reporting.
The last batch of ABCes for the Johnston Press sites covered the three months from April to the end of June. The Lancashire Evening Post’s website LEP.co.uk came out on top with 305,147 unique users a month.
The overall ABCe figure for Johnston Press’s entire network of regional newspapers was 5,878,108 unique users a month.
Johnston Press group newspaper sales and marketing director Chris Pennock said: ‘ABCe audited data provides advertisers with a robust currency on which media space can be bought and delivers to the market independent assurance that our websites are attracting substantial audiences.”
