Colin Grant, editor of the Cambridge Evening News, is to move to a new role within Iliffe News & Media later this year.
He will take up the new position of group editor-in-chief of Herts & Essex Newspapers once a replacement has been found for him.
Grant has been editor of the Cambridge Evening News for almost six years. He said: “I have had a thoroughly enjoyable five and a half years at Cambridge during what has been a period of much development for the Evening News.
“I will be sad to leave Cambridge but Hertford offers some exciting challenges.
I look forward to joining the team there and helping these products develop in a similar fashion.”
