Gover returns to host Vale’s morning show

By Press Gazette

Vale FM’s former news editor in Dorset, Kevin Gover, is returning to the station as the host of the morning show.

Gover has spent the last six months writing a training book for journalists, but has continued to keep in touch by reading the news on Vale FM – part of the The Local Radio Company group of stations.

He said: “I’m very proud of what we managed to achieve in the Dorset newsroom since joining in 2001.

Although I have used my presenting skills in reading the news and making documentaries, this is the first daily show I have hosted as a presenter in five years.”

Vale FM’s station manager, Stewart Smith, said: “It’s great to have someone of Kevin’s calibre on the station, he’s got a great deal of experience in broadcasting and can relate very well with the listener.”

Gover will also continue to present the Saturday breakfast show on Wessex FM in Dorchester, along with news shifts at other stations in the South West.
