First female editor of Cage and Aviary Bird

By Press Gazette

Kim Forrester has been appointed the first female editor of Cage and Aviary Bird, IPC Inspire's 105-year-old monthly title.

Forrester, who started her career on regional newspapers in her native Australia, started at IPC in 2002, moving from Haymarket Publishing to become managing editor of Horse and Hound. She was later made the title's deputy editor, before moving across to deputy editor of Cage and Aviary Bird in May 2005.

Forrester said: "I'm thrilled and honoured to be asked to edit the title during this challenging, but exciting, time. We have a talented and hard-working team on Cage and Aviary Bird, and I'm looking forward to working with them to make the magazine the must-have read for bird keepers across the UK and beyond."
