Chronicle beefs up with extra pages and supplements

By Press Gazette

The Bath Chronicle has expanded its content with eight extra pages each weekday and new supplements.

The paper has increased its news, sport, listings and business coverage and launched an eight-page Junior Sport section on Tuesdays. On Saturdays it has added eight pages to its 7Days TV listings magazine and launched Bath Week, a magazinestyle review of the previous seven days’ news, sport and features.

The magazine is aimed at those readers, particularly the young, who do not get the Chronicle regularly. The aim is to boost Saturday sales and get the occasional readers to buy the paper more regularly.

The Chronicle has moved coverage of north and west Wiltshire into one edition with two daily dedicated pages.

Also being planned is Bath Living- a monthly glossy magazine which will celebrate life in and around the city. Chronicle editor David Gledhill said: “We already had a great product but now it’s better than ever. We think it offers unrivalled value for money.”
