Car title aims to grab CCC readers

By Press Gazette

Unity Media has created a new title to fill the gap in the market caused by the closure of IPC’s Car & Car Conversions, writes Sarah Boden.

Unity, a leading performance motoring publisher, this week unveiled Track and Race Cars. It will have a print-run of 60,000 and cover all aspects of the motor sport, including the latest cars, UK racing results and technical equipment reviews.

Keith Wood, former co-editor of Performance Ford, will oversee a fivestrong editorial team.

Unity chairman Dennis Tailor said of Wood: “We have an editor who actually drives a racing car so he’s right in that arena. We’re not talking about mailbag press release stuff. We’re talking about him being at tracks, finding out what’s happening.”

The first issue is due out in January, priced £3.75.
