Jo Barnes has been appointed as editor of Newsquest Wales and Gloucestershire’s new magazines department.
She joins from the Western Mail and Echo magazines in Cardiff where she was editor of Business in Wales .
Returning
to Newport, South Wales, where she worked for Newsquest’s South Wales
Argus for over a decade, Barnes will now be responsible for four glossy
titles: Monmouthshire County Life, The Business, Prime Time and a new
title for Newport called City Life.
She said: “We’ll have the time to look at issues in more depth, and there’ll be opportunities for some terrific photography.”
Barnes began her career on the Dawlish Gazette in Devon.
