ACP-Natmag appoints new editor-in-chief

By Press Gazette

The National Magazine Company has appointed Louise Court, editor of
Best, to the new role of editor-in-chief at ACP-NatMag, its joint
venture with Australian publisher ACP.

While Court heads up
ACP-NatMag, which publishes Best and Reveal, her role as editor of Best
will be taken over by Michelle Hather, deputy editor at the women’s
weekly for six years.

Jessica Burley, chief operating officer at
ACP-NatMag, said the decision to create the role reflected the
company’s “focus on editorial expertise and excellence”.

She
added: “The weeklies market is a fast-paced and ever-evolving market
place, and Louise’s new position will allow us to increase our
editorial fire power at the highest level.

“Louise’s experience
and creativity have until now ensured that Best has outperformed its
competitors in recent years. Her move to editor-in-chief will allow her
a wider remit across all of our brands.”

Andrew Fleming has also been promoted from associate editor to deputy editor.

Best launches a redesign this week.

Hather said: “It is fantastic to be taking the helm at such a key time.”
