Anderson to head blogging

By Press Gazette

The Guardian has hired the BBC's Kevin Anderson to be its head of blogging and interaction.

Anderson, a producer for the World Service's interactive programme World Have Your Say, spent six years in the Washington bureau as the corporation's first online journalist based outside the UK.

Details of his position have not yet been finalised, but he wrote on Strange Attractor, a blog he coauthors, that it would involve him acting as "a role model for the new, participative form of journalism emerging from the best blogs".
