Exiled Tibetan activists in India have claimed that China has succeeded in blocking the flow email and mobile phone calls during the recent pro-Tibet, reports the Financial Times.
After a military clampdown the foreign media reports from Tibet, Tibetans outside the country had been relying on mobiles and emails for witness accounts of the violence.
According to the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy at least 70 Tibetans were killed during the clashes though Beijing claims there had been only 22.
Around 120,000 Tibetans live in exile in India.
