Unity Media is aiming to cash in on the growing popularity of 4×4 vehicles by launching 4 Drive magazine. Edited by Stuart Gallagher and due out in September, it will focus on SUV, SAV and 4X4 vehicles. It is expected to have similar design and production values to its sister magazines BMW Car and GT Purely Porsche.
Unity says that, despite a downturn in new car sales in the UK, sales of sport utility and activity cars soared in 2002.
