Wrexham Evening Leader becomes a morning

By Dominic wireposts

The Evening Leader in North Wales is the latest daily title to switch from being an evening to a morning paper.

The move means the end of on-the-day news for the independently-published daily – and will save money because instead of having its own delivery network, it can now go out with the main national newspaper distributors.

Editor-in-chief Barrie Jones is quoted on Holdthefrontpage saying that their research with morning publication on Fridays shows that more time on the newsagent’s shelf will be better for sales.
