Women’s Institute magazine makeover to be more ‘modern and progressive’

The magazine of the Women’s Institute, WI Life, will has undergone a bit-of-a-makeover to reflect a “more modern, progressive organisation.”

Neil Maidment, the magazine’s first male editor in its 100 year history, told the Guardian the revamp would involve a new masthead, fonts and strapline for the magazine which is sent to the WI’s 205,000 members eight times a year.

In an effort to move away from the image of it being a “club for old ladies” the next issue will feature Jazz Holly, a 25-yr-old Shoreditch resident and WI member on the cover.
