From: Steve Hemsley Subject: Freelances May I first congratulate all
at Press Gazette for a great new-look magazine. However, I am a little
disappointed the magazine has totally ignored the thousands of
freelances, of which I am one.
The editorial seems focused on
staff journalists without any features on any of the hard-working
freelances who contribute to these titles. Maybe a weekly profile on a
freelance would be of interest? It could detail how they work, their
view on dealing with contributing editors, getting paid, getting work
and how ideas are stolen by editors from time to time?
Just an idea. Keep up the good work though.
