The British Library today announced a plan to digitise up to 40 million pages of national newspapers from the Newspaper Library, at Colindale, making them available online for the first time.
Here, those involved in the project discuss their plans to digitise the collection over the next ten years and create one of the biggest single archives of historical data in the world.
