United Business Media leads PPA awards shortlist

By Press Gazette

Business-to-business publisher United Business Media has secured the highest number of nominations in this year’s Periodical Publishers Association awards.

The group’s titles, including Property Week and Building, were shortlisted 19 times. IPC Media received 17 nominations, followed by BBC Magazines on 15 and Bauer Media with 12.

According to the PPA, a record number of entries were received this year. Chief executive Jonathan Shephard said: “The strength of this year’s entries was superb and it shows the strength and dynamism of the magazine and business media industry.”

The final round of judging will take place in May and the winners will be announced at a 1920s-themed ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 30 June.
